TeRu·Mi | the tender bar
Located in Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya, TeRu·Mi is a cocktail bar featuring Malaysian flavours observed through sight, sound, scent, and sensibility. TeRu·Mi means ‘teru’ 辉, which means ‘brightness; to shine’, and ‘mi’ 美, which means ‘beauty’.

Reflecting their goal to shine a light on all that is beautiful, usually found in the simple things, as seen in the design of their space and drinks. Embraced within the heart of TeRu·Mi is a place called “the tender bar”, where the team hopes to restore a hint of tenderness in your daily lives.

And perhaps most importantly, TeRu·Mi in kanji is the name of our owner’s father. Consider this a tribute from a daughter to her father.

Shirmy Chan
Co-founder and Bar Director of TeRu·Mi, Shirmy started her bartending career back in 2013 and has since collected a slew of awards, including the title of Malaysia Bar Awards 2019 Bartender of the Year.

In August 2022, Shirmy realised her long-term dream of becoming a bar owner and now leads a stellar all-female team dedicated to creating a harmonious space that inspires others interested in joining the bartending industry.


Caden Chua
Head of Beverage Operation, Caden enjoys concocting the strange and the totally out-there. Before her bartending career, Caden started out in the kitchen (and later in the coffee industry), before finding her calling slinging drinks. Her search for the unexpected flavour pairings have proven successful now, as she continues to keen the TeRu·Mi menu fresh.
